Location: Starting point / trailhead, e.g. off Hwy 160 near Basin

Difficulty: Easy

Distance: 60 miles round trip

Overview:

Wheeler Pass is a great 5-6 hr ride from one side to the other. Depending on how far you go from one side to the other.

Pahrump to Wheeler Pass top, Cold Creek Pond, or even to Indian Springs for lunch and back.

What to Know Before You Go:

- It isn’t a hard trail, but depending on the time of the year, there could be snow, mud, or dust. Also, the back side is probably the most technical side. If you like flat gravel roads, may not be the best for you.

- Cell serice is hit or miss

- Honestly the best time to do it is when there is some snow, muddy, or damp.

- Please make sure you have your Nevada OHV tag.

Nearby Stops:

There isn’t any help between Pahrump and Cold Creek. When you get into Cold Creek and you see signs with speed limits, please follow them.
